Most families do not need a lesson in grammar to write a bihe ko card. They need one good example that matches their situation, so they can swap the names and dates. This page collects complete examples for the cards people actually send in Nepal, in Nepali and in English.
Every example uses the same sample couple, Sita and Ram, and the date २०८३ फागुन १५ गते (Saturday, 27 February 2027). Replace the words in brackets with your own details.

1. Bride’s side card (traditional)
The bride’s family usually hosts the wedding ceremony and the kanyadan, so their card centres on the saait and the venue.

2. Groom’s side card (with janti)
The groom’s family names their son first and adds the janti departure, because that is what their guests need to know.

3. Card from grandparents
In joint families the eldest generation often hosts. The relationship word changes from सुपुत्र to नाति (grandson) or from सुपुत्री to नातिनी (granddaughter).
हाम्रा नाति चि. राम शर्मा (सुपुत्र: श्री हरि शर्मा तथा श्रीमती गीता शर्मा) को शुभ विवाह ... सँग हुने भएकाले यहाँको सपरिवार उपस्थितिको अपेक्षा गर्दछौं।

4. Reception only (प्रीतिभोज)
Colleagues and friends are often invited only to the evening reception. A short card works best.

5. Couple inviting in their own name
More couples now send the card themselves, especially to friends. The tone can be warm and less formal.
हामी सीता र राम, हाम्रा परिवारको आशीर्वादसहित जीवनको नयाँ यात्रा सुरु गर्दैछौं। यो खुसीको दिनमा तपाईंको साथ चाहन्छौं।

6. Court marriage celebration
हाम्रो सुपुत्री सीता र राम शर्माको अदालती विवाह सम्पन्न भएको खुसीमा आयोजना गरिएको भेटघाट तथा प्रीतिभोजमा यहाँको उपस्थितिको हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछौं।

7. Multi-event card (mehendi to reception)
When guests are invited to several ceremonies, list each one on its own line so nobody mixes up the days.

8. Short message to send with the card
When you share the card on WhatsApp or Viber, add one personal line:

Checklist before you print or send
- Names spelled exactly as each family wants, in both Nepali and English.
- The BS date and the weekday agree (a wrong बार is the most common mistake).
- Saait time checked with the family priest.
- Venue with an area or landmark, and a map link on digital cards.
- One consistent level of respect: do not mix पाल्नुहोला and आउनुहोस् in the same card.
