Shop Opening Invitation Card Wording in Nepali and English

Opening a shop, restaurant, clinic or office is a big step, and the opening ceremony (शुभारम्भ) is how you tell your neighbours, friends and future customers. The invitation needs the business name, a date and time, the address and, for formal openings, the chief guest.

Here is wording you can copy. Put it on a shop opening invitation card and share it as one link.

What to include

• The business name and, if you have one, the logo
• What kind of business it is
• Date, time and a clear address with a landmark
• The chief guest (प्रमुख अतिथि), for a formal ribbon cutting
• Any opening offer, if you have one
• The owner or proprietor (प्रोप्राइटर) as host

Tips

Confirm the chief guest’s title

Ward chairs, mayors and business association heads are read closely. Check the spelling and title with their office.

Add a map link

A new shop is not on anyone’s map yet. A pinned location helps customers find you on day one and after.

Keep the card for later

Post the same card on Facebook and your shop page. It works as your first advert.

Opening wording for other businesses

• Clinic or pharmacy: “We are pleased to announce the opening of City Care Clinic. Free health check-ups on opening day, 10 AM to 4 PM.”
• Salon or boutique: “Our doors open this Saturday! Come for the ribbon cutting and enjoy 20 per cent off your first visit.” (Only if you are really offering it.)
• School or institute: “हाम्रो नयाँ शैक्षिक संस्थाको उद्घाटन समारोहमा अभिभावक तथा शुभचिन्तकहरूलाई हार्दिक निम्तो छ।”
• Hotel or homestay: “Join us for the soft opening of Lakeside Homestay: tea, music and a tour of the rooms.”
