An Anand Karaj invitation opens with ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ (Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad) or a short line of Gurbani, then names the parents as hosts and the couple beneath them. It gives the gurdwara’s name and address, the date and the time of the Anand Karaj, which is usually held in the morning.

Most families add the other events on their own lines or pages: the Sangeet, the Milni when the two families meet, the Anand Karaj itself with the four laavan, the langar afterwards and the Reception.
